Hi! I’m Jessica.

I write romantasy brimming with mythical creatures, twisty plots, ancient magic, and enough emotional damage to traumatize your descendants.

My favorite mythical creature has always been, and will always be, the phoenix. Maybe because I’m a Scorpio, maybe because I love the idea of transformation, or maybe because I remember the first time I opened a holographic trading card of X-Men’s Jean Grey when I was eleven. 

Comic books, reading, and movies were the cornerstones of my life growing up. I guess that’s what led me to a ten-year career in the film exhibition industry, where I got to see firsthand how stories have the ability to make people laugh, cry, and connect. 

I might have moved on to a more mundane career in Corporate America, but I still carry a deep love for storytelling and spend my free time creating magical worlds of my own.

So cheers to researching mythology, plotting character suffering, and convincing myself that adding just one more magical creature won’t complicate the story. (It always does.)
